This was probably one of my favorite weddings to date. Kristen and Justin were an amazing couple with great taste! The couple lives in New Mexico, his parents are from Minnesota and their photographer was from Texas, so in a mash-up of great style came the most beautiful wedding ceremony and reception. They met at SDSU in Brookings, SD, so let’s start there!
They chose McCrory Gardens in Brookings, SD, for their reception location, which was breathtaking in the fall as the leaves were changing colors. We decorated the reception with navy table runners and five different centerpieces throughout the room to add variety. Each had a mix of branches, wood, succulent plants, wildflowers, mix-matched bottles, hydrangeas, babies’ breath, and a touch of burlap for that rustic charm. Their head table was stunning as we swooped the lights behind it and even the smallest details, like a chalkboard direction sign and a terrarium box for their cards were so heart-warming! I swear, Kristen thought of everything. (Paper heart confetti, cute flag toppers for her cupcakes, baskets of necessities in each bathroom, cute framed sayings all over the bar area, wedding word-find activity sheets, and WedPics cards at each table for their collection of images online. There were even yard games outside, appetizers before dinner and a nacho bar throughout the dance. Perfection, if you ask us. 🙂
We also decorated the pews at the church for her ceremony with cute paper cones of hydrangeas and set up an “In Memory” table with a candle and lantern. Here are a few details from their day. Congratulations, Kristen and Justin!
