KELO features Hitch Studio in news spotlight!

A snow storm hit this past weekend. (We even pulled out cars stuck on city streets with our 4-wheeler [for fun] [because that’s what we do in South Dakota during snow storms]). After a day of being snowed in for the weekend, I think most people in KELOland were watching the Sunday evening news to check for school and activity cancellations. And there it was.

Brady Mallory of KELO news interviewed Carrie Kuhl and Renee Halgerson, co-owners of Hitch Studio. He did an outstanding job highlighting a downtown Brookings business and the successes that can come from entrepreneurship. After three years, Hitch Studio moved into a new retail space, tripling their square footage. With lots of history behind them, and lots of exciting learning ahead, Carrie and Renee feel proud of their hard work, but know it’s far from over.

They have so many people to thank, especially the people of Brookings for continuing to shop local. Hitch Studio has three divisions that keep it running in full gear. Carrie manages the logo design and website design division. Renee manages the wedding styling and wedding invitations division. Together with their four amazing part-time employees, the retail store flourishes as well.

Hitch Studio is a proud member of downtown Brookings. Check out the full interview here.
