Pantone’s Color of the Year 2016: Rose Quartz and Serenity

For the first time ever, the blending of two colors, Rose Quarts and Serenity have been selected as Pantone’s Color(s) of the Year 2016. “Joined together, Rose Quartz and Serenity demonstrate an inherent balance between a warmer embracing rose tone and the cooler tranquil blue, reflecting connection and wellness as well as a soothing sense of order and peace,” explains Pantone’s team. The pairing of these two colors also takes on a symbolic reflect on the happenings of 2015. Gender is so often represented with color and as of late those labels have started to blur, especially in terms of fashion. The combination of Rose Quartz and Serenity coincides with the generational movement towards gender neutrality and fluidity.

How these colors can work on your wedding day!

Rose Quartz:

We love how this light pink can work into your wedding or special event. Rose Quartz is subtle and romantic, and doesn’t overwhelm you like other pinks can. It’s the perfect color for your florals. Peonies and roses could make up a beautiful pastel bouquet. Of course, you cannot forget about your favorite ladies. Rose Quartz makes for a beautiful bridesmaid dress color that pairs well with just about every skin tone. Metallics such as rose gold and copper are also trending this season and just so happen to pair perfectly with Rose Quartz!  Check out below how Hitch can help incorporate Rose Quartz into your special day!

Serenity:

This cool tone, pastel blue is the perfect color for your serene wedding style. Serenity is a great shade for all of your wedding accessories. Linens and centerpiece trinkets in this tranquil blue set the mood for your special day. This shade of blue is perfect with metallics like silver and gunmetal grey, adding a little edge to your occasion. Serenity also pairs well with neutrals such as ivory, grey, dark brown, making it the perfect accent for the guys in your day! A serenity blue tie paired with a charcoal suit is a huge win in our books! Check out below how Hitch can add some serenity to your wedding or special event.
