A: We do not require you to take marriage classes in order for one of our Hitch officiants to marry you.
A: Yes, your Hitch Studio officiant will turn in your marriage license to the State of South Dakota Register of Deeds if you get married in South Dakota. If you’re getting married out of state, we can talk about details. (For example, if you get married in Minnesota, it’s required that you turn in your signed marriage license to the same Register of Deeds office in which you got it. Minnesota also requires us as officiants to register in their state and their license fees are higher than South Dakota.)
A: We perform both religious and non-religious (civil) ceremonies to suit our couples’ needs. We are firm believers in all love!
A: Yes! We encourage couples to write their own vows because of the intimacy and connection they feel on the wedding day, but our Hitch officiants can also prepare beautiful and meaningful vows as well.
A: Absolutely! Your Hitch officiant will customize a ceremony script before your wedding so that you can make changes and approve it before the wedding day. We want it to be exactly what you dreamed of! Or you can leave it be a surprise to experience genuine reactions to the vows you take.
A: Your Hitch officiant will be at your rehearsal for no additional charge! That is included in the officiating fee listed above. Please note that your Hitch officiant is not in charge of ceremony coordination unless that separate planning package has been booked by the couple. We will work with your schedules and try our best to accommodate.
A: Our ceremonies typically last between 15-30 minutes, depending on any special readings, songs, unity ceremony, or other unique elements.
A: We prefer not to marry anyone in their private residence, but if we’re happy to hear about a special circumstance. We have an entire list of possible public places to get married which are very budget-friendly — or the Hitch Studio space can accommodate about 8 witnesses.
A: We would love that — and we know you would too! But no, our wedding planners can provide this service a la carte, without booking our full planning or decorating services. For a fully seamless and beautiful stress-free day beyond your ceremony, consider hiring Hitch Studio for decorating and/or planning as well!
