A 3 Carat Fall Wedding at Emerald Pines Barn

Mariah knew she wanted fresh fall-colored flowers and lots of greenery. With HyVee designing the fresh florals, we brought every table to life! The fresh flowers and greenery garlands made all the difference at this Sioux Falls barn venue!

Where it started: the centerpiece showcase

Months before the wedding, Mariah and Carter came to our Brookings showroom for their centerpiece showcase. That’s 10–20 centerpieces styled in their exact colors, so they could mix and match linens, chargers, napkins, and décor until they loved it. They left with a centerpiece key, so they knew exactly what would be on every table.

And the best part? Every piece of centerpiece décor from our collection was included, free, because they booked a package.

What “full-service” 3 CARAT PACKAGE really looks like (hour by hour):

  • [7:30 a.m.] — Transporting florals. We helped transport all the big, beautiful florals to the venue the morning of the wedding!
  • [8:00 a.m.] — Hair + makeup. We’re there from the very start, for anything the bride needs.
  • [9:00 a.m.] — Decorating the reception. While she’s getting ready, our team is styling every table, placing linens, perfecting the head table, and making sure the candles, decor and cut flowers look perfect.
  • [12:50 – 3:30 p.m.] — First look + photos. We help the photographer with the first look — with bridesmaids, father of the bride, then with Carter! Then came photos with the wedding party and family. We made sure Mariah and Carter were tucked away to relax before the ceremony.
  • [4:00 p.m.] — Ceremony. We line up the wedding party, cue the music, and keep late guests from interrupting the processional. This beautiful wedding happened outdoors, so we also made sure to transfer the flowers inside after the ceremony and made sure the wind (40 mph wind gusts that day) didn’t knock over the unity ceremony or any vases).
  • [4:30 p.m.] — Social hour. We made sure all the snacks were set out, the cake was out with cake knife + server, and checked on the caterer. Then refilled the snacks again!
  • [5:45 p.m.] — Dinner. After dinner, we bussed the tables, clearing the real dishes, chargers, silverware, and cloth napkins (all rented from Hitch Studio).
  • [6:15 p.m. ] — Cake and sunset photos. We made sure to keep this portion of the evening streamlined because we didn’t want them to miss their sunset photos! Speeches came after these fall sunset photos for that very reason.
  • [7:15 p.m.] — Dance. The dance started and we cleared chargers and napkins, refilled desserts and snacks and made sure the family had everything they needed.
  • [11:30 p.m.] — End-of-dance and start packing-up. We take it all down. Nobody’s family is loading décor into a pickup at midnight!

That’s roughly 17 hours of a Hitch team carrying the details, so Mariah, Carter, and everyone who loves them could just be there.

Mariah and Carter are so sweet. The wind couldn’t dampen the mood that day. They still got amazing photos and a dreamy reception. The greenery was beautiful. Mariah was beautiful. The whole day was beautiful! But watching them get to be fully present at their own wedding is why we do this. 🤍
