When planning a South Dakota wedding in November, you never know what kind of weather is going to be in store. Fortunately for Kaitlyn and Eric, November 14th was filled warm and sunny weather in Hartford that made for the perfect Fall day to get hitched!
When we first met, Kaitlyn said, “I want my wedding to feel like a fairtyale.” Kaitlyn and Eric’s day was truly that — and a COVID-19 cautious fairytale nonetheless. Kaitlyn and Eric, along with our staff at Hitch Studio, were able to create a fun and beautiful day while also considering the state our world is currently in. Hand sanitizer and masks were available to all guests in order to ensure their safety.
The ceremony was held at Saint George Catholic Church in Hartford, South Dakota. The large church allowed for guests to be spread out. Beautiful baby’s breath flowers lined each pew, creating a light and airy feel throughout the church. Vows were exchanged, the first kiss was had, and two became one.
Kaitlyn and Eric’s reception was just a skip and a hop from the church at the Dakota Plains Event Center. The dining, guestbook, and dessert tables were decorated with an ivory, soft yellow, and navy blue palette. The lighting was warm and inviting with candles lighting every table. Lanterns, books, birchwood touches, (of course) flowers, and even a few teacups sat at each table. The decorations came together beautifully for her fairytale dream. It truly looked like a scene from Beauty and The Beast! The venue provided navy linens, pale yellow napkins, and silver chargers.
Dancing, dinner, and drinks ensured that fun was had by all. A crowd favorite was the show-stopping 3-tier cake made by Brandi’s Custom Cakes! The cake fit in perfectly with the couple’s fairytale theme. They added chair covers by Savvy Chairs as Hitch put them on, took them off, and tied the bows! Their head table was a Kings table with a beautiful backdrop behind Kaitlyn and Eric! It was so perfect!
