Mauve + Burgundy Wedding

Lyndsey and Tanner’s wedding and reception at the Wilbert Square Event Center in Brookings, SD was a dream. Due to guest restrictions at their original ceremony location, they had to make the tough decision to change their ceremony location but we’re so happy with the results! They chose to have their ceremony in the same location as their reception and with a combined effort from Hitch Studio and the Wilbert Square Event Center staff, the transformation of the room from ceremony to reception was absolutely flawless!

To make this transformation work, we divided the event hall into two sections. One side-featured the head table, guest tables, and all the things for the reception and on the other side was set up with chairs, an aisle, and a gorgeous wood hexagon and floral arrangement for the ceremony backdrop. Immediately following the ceremony, we took down the divided wall and moved 36 pre-decorated tables to fill the whole event space. Other duties Hitch Studio staff and Willbert Square Event staff helped with were setting out chairs, putting up the bar, and finishing touches on decorating. We even repurposed the gorgeous hexagon backdrop from the ceremony as the perfect backdrop for their cake! While we worked our magic, guests enjoyed a cocktail at the alehouse so there was no lag in the event timeline.

As for decorations, Lyndsey and Tanner had a creative and romantic vision for their day! They chose a neutral color palette complete with mercury glass elements, wood, and lots of greenery! Soft florals created by Mel at Verde Vines gave a very delicate touch to the overall venue. We’re telling you…the flowers were amazing!!
