About Natalie Hoyes

Certified Wedding Planner (CWP) • Certified Wedding Venue Professional (CWVP)

Growing up in southern California, I always dreamed of moving to South Dakota to be snowed in with negative twenty-degree weather. Just kidding! I was recruited by South Dakota State University’s NCAA Division 1 Equestrian Team to ride horses and compete. I fell in love with SDSU; the people, the small-town feel, and the being able to experience all four seasons. After graduating in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies with a minor in Leadership, I then continued my education by earning a master’s degree in Counseling and Human Resource Development in 2019.

I have experience with administrative work and working closely with others and am excited to continue that as well as jump into the creative side with Hitch. I am the Operations Manager working behind the scenes in addition to being a wedding planner.I absolutely love planning! Anytime there is an opportunity to plan for an event, it is an opportunity to celebrate; maybe that is a girl's weekend, a date night, a birthday party, or even a wedding. Planning my own wedding in June of 2020 during covid while my husband, Cody, was activated for the national guard, was surprisingly extremely enjoyable. I enjoyed each step and greatly appreciated how the vendors were so willing to work with my husband and I. I quickly fell in love with the process as well as our wedding day and want to help other brides enjoy their wedding too!

Attention to detail, organization, and empathy are three of my top strengths. It is satisfying to see all the details come together, which I have a strong eye for. I love to laugh and have fun but also work hard to achieve the task at hand.I look forward to working with you to help ensure your wedding is exactly what you dreamed of!

A few fun facts about me:

  • In the summers during college, I worked for a carriage company that provided horse-drawn carriage rides in the vineyards of Temecula, CA, transporting people to wineries, and helping with proposals, and weddings.
  • You can find me on an episode or two of Parks and Recreation.I attempted to volcano board down Cerro Negro (an active volcano) in Nicaragua but ultimately tumbled down the volcano!
  • Myhusband and I own a woodworking business in Arlington, CNH Branded Woodworks.
  • Sage and Poppy are our two golden retrievers. We also have two horses, sixteen chickens, six ducks, and two cats. Can you tell I love animals?!
