Romantic dusty pink elegance — and a touch of T-Swift

Taylor Swift’s lyrics say, “You are in love, true love,” and we are too with this fourth of July weekend wedding!

From my first meeting with Nefeli, I knew she was going to be an amazing bride to work with — and together our Hitch Studio team, we could create a dream wedding for her and her fiancé (now husband!), Taylor. I loved her vision of a dusty pink, eucalyptus filled, light, airy and romantic wedding style, not to mention her positive attitude and pure excitement for her big day. It was unbelievable to witness. Better yet, she didn’t flinch at all when I mentioned her wedding would be my first as a lead wedding coordinator. (Some people call us wedding planners, some call us wedding coordinators, some call us wedding managers or wedding stylists. We are ALL of those things if needed!)

Nefeli and Taylor’s wedding ceremony took place at Ascension Lutheran Church in Brookings, South Dakota. Gold lanterns lit the aisle and dusty pink cheesecloth runners with a touch of eucalyptus added to the simple, but elegant decoration. Our Hitch Studio team acted as hostesses and greeted guests with polaroid cameras to create a unique guest book for the couple to enjoy. Side-note: If you’re looking for a unique guestbook idea besides the average book, this is a great alternative. Guests came back to take photos and leave messages for the bride and groom throughout the evening and had so much fun with it. Or check out this Pinterest board for more inspiration!

The vows were said and the rings exchanged, now it was time for the reception. Nefeli and Taylor chose a gorgeous ivory sequin lace overlay to cover their head table, cake table, and guest book table. The head table also featured eucalyptus and a lighted display of various sizes of candles. The guest table centerpieces ranged from tall beautiful gold candleabras to smaller arrangements with crystal chalices, candles, ivory hydrangeas, blush ranunculus, mercury gold vases, and more. Ivory lace table runners were placed at every table and fit Nefeli’s neutral color palate perfect!

As I heard “You are in Love” by Taylor Swift start playing and Nefeli and Taylor began their first dance, an immediate feeling of appreciation came over me. I appreciated (and still do!) my Hitch Studio team for helping me make this wedding day (and first lead wedding) a success. I appreciated Nefeli and Taylor for being such an amazing couple to work with and for choosing Hitch Studio to help them with both their wedding decorating and coordinating. And I appreciated how truly happy and in love they looked.

In that moment I realized why we do what we do at Hitch Studio. We take notes and pay close attention to those small details to make your wedding run seamless, we work late nights so your family and friends can enjoy your big day alongside you, and we love every minute of it!  When we get to see the bride and groom’s reaction as they enter their reception and see guests enjoying themselves, it really is an incredibly rewarding feeling.
