Hitch got the privilege of decorating a wedding in October for a couple local to the Brookings-Volga area. Andrea + Brett chose Midway Camp, and wonderful white-barn venue located just outside of Volga for their reception. We love this barn’s accommodating staff! They allowed the family + Hitch to set up the venue the day before the wedding and were so helpful during the day of the wedding while we all prepared for the guests to arrive!
We loved meeting with these two and their families in preparation for their big day. They were always having a blast, joking around, making the most of their time together. I think we truly fell in love with this couple! They were so excited to get married and everyone could totally tell. They also showed so much appreciation for all of their wedding vendors. I heard so many thank-yous come from the couple and their families, and I just know that each vendor had their love-tank filled to the top. I know we sure did! Andrea + Brett’s love and happiness were so contagious this day.
One of Andrea + Brett’s requests was to incorporate sunflowers into their decorations. We were so excited to bring out our sunflowers for them! They looked so beautiful with the pops of burgundy in this bright white venue. Her colors and textures warmed up this venue so much and really gave it a unique feel! Check out some of the gorgeous centerpieces that the two picked out together!
Andrea and Brett said their vows at a local church in Volga in the most beautiful sanctuary. They had fresh floral arrangements on the altar that they decided to leave at the church for the congregation to enjoy the next morning during worship service. How thoughtful!! The church’s maroon carpeting really made for the perfect warm accent to the additional flowers, lanterns, and décor down the aisle! It was as though the church was made for the unity of Andrea + Brett.
First Lutheran Church in Volga has one of the BEST ceremony coordinators! Kelsey was so amazing at every step of the ceremony and even the rehearsal the night before. She was right there to open the doors for Andrea and her father before they walked down the aisle, she was there to help queue the bridal party and musicians, and make sure everyone knew where to go. She made our jobs SO easy that day! We loved working with you, Kelsey!!
