The venue at Schadé Vineyard & Winery is perfect for weddings, receptions, meetings, and corporate retreats. Location: We are located 1 mile west of Volga, South Dakota or 8 miles west of downtown Brookings, South Dakota. Our address is 21095 463rd Avenue, Volga, South Dakota 57071.
Capacity/Parking: Our beautiful outdoor venue can hold up to 400 guests but is very versatile for smaller events as well. We are handicap accessible and have free parking for you and all of your guests!
Rentals Included: We have 50 five-foot round tables, 35 six-foot rectangle tables, 10 cocktail tables, and 400 white resin padded chairs. Chairs can be used for ceremony and/or under the tent. The tent is 60’ x 115’ and is situated over a cement pad (64’ x 132’). The tent comes with side panels if you chose to use them. Schadé Event Management staff is more than willing to put close or open them for you. Bistro lights are strung inside the tent and set the perfect dim-lit mood for wedding dances. We also have on site bridal suites with restrooms attached for your convenience!
Catering/Alcohol policy- You can use any caterer of your choice! A list of recommended caterers is included. All alcohol is sold by Schadé. Any outside alcohol brought in is not permitted. There are enough details to worry about with your event—let us take care of the details and rest assured your guests will enjoy our wines and your choice of beers.
The house bar includes:
- YOUR CHOICE of two brews served on draft
- TONS of two brews served in 16oz. cans
- YOUR CHOICE of four wines from our list provided at meeting time – a free wine tasting is included when you book the venue
- Your choice of one champagne
- TONS of liquor and mixed drink options
Open bar options:
- Ticketed – purchase a roll of prepaid drink tickets and hand them out to guest and Schade will charge based on comsumption.
- Open bar- open bar for a certain time or dollar amount and the Schadé staff will switch to cash bar when the dollar amount has been spent or the time has ended.
Spirits: (cost depends upon liquor choice)
Set up/Take down: Schadé’s event team will provide a room layout during our 30 day meeting. Upon approval, our team will set up all tables and chairs in the agreed upon layout. We will also take everything down and clean the venue afterwards. It’s as easy as that!
