You know the owners of Hitch Studio, Carrie Kuhl and Renee Halgerson. (If you don’t, you can read more about Carrie and Renee here!)
But we’d like to introduce our official team of Hitch Associates! They are our 2016 wedding & event set up and tear down team, interns, and helpers of all kinds. They each bring different skills, ability levels, majors from SDSU, and eagerness to our Hitch team. We’re so lucky to have them on board. If you’re one of many brides who have booked a wedding with Hitch Studio this year, you’ll be seeing them around! Carrie and Renee believe in giving back — and we love to help students reach their potential and explore their interests.
Let’s meet each member of our 2016 Hitch associate team:
Sydney Sparks
“I’m excited to help Hitch with some weddings this summer because I got to help with one large outdoor wedding last fall and I really enjoyed it. I’m excited to see new trends, brides, venues and work with Hitch again this year. I’m interested in event planning and seeing what happens behind the scenes to pull it all off. Read my full bio here.”
Natalie Krueger
“I am excited to work with both Renee and Carrie along with all the other ladies here at Hitch! I enjoy working hard and learning all that I can. I love seeing all the different events and being able to use my creativity. It’s so wonderful to feel valued and be surrounded by such positive attitudes. I am inspired by Renee and Carrie through their “can do” attitudes and smiles on their faces at all times. I am so thankful for the opportunity to be a part of this team!”
Danielle Stane
“My name is Danielle Stane. I am a sophomore at South Dakota State University majoring in Hospitality Management and minoring in Event and Facilities Administration. I am excited for the opportunity to gain experience in event planning and business management. Through Hitch, I hope to gain first-hand knowledge and on-the-job experience to help me further my career goals of becoming part of an event management team. I am looking forward to making valuable professional contacts while working with the great gals of Hitch.”
Mikayla Frederick
“Hello all, I am Mikayla! I’m from the central Minnesota area, and came here to SDSU to major in Consumer Affairs. I was so excited to find out Brookings had such a cute boutique (Hitch) that also does event planning! With Hitch, I plan to be great help to the team while learning a lot about this area of hospitality. It will be neat to see weddings behind the scenes, and from the proposal stage to wedding night.”
Brooke Lewandowski
This will be Brooke’s second year with Hitch. She’s gained valuable experience helping with multiple weddings and events for Hitch and looking forward to more. She’s a junior at SDSU with a graphic design and advertising background. We’re glad she’s back! Her bio is coming soon…
Erica Schuster
Erica is hoping to gain experience for her Hospitality Management major and management minor through a position at Hitch this year. In addition to helping with Hitch and being a full-time student, she also works at Cubby’s, is a group fitness instructor, a photographer, and has helped with other downtown events as well. We’re looking forward to working with Erica and all the experience she will bring us! Her photo and bio are coming soon…
