Do you have a TON of close friends that you want by your side on your wedding day? Are you having trouble narrowing them down? Of course, you should not have to pick and choose who gets to stand next to you on your wedding day. If you want 12 of your girlfriends next to you, LET’S MAKE IT HAPPEN!
You will be so impressed with how this sweet couple included their big wedding party at one, intimate table.
Sam + Tyler are so blessed with such a large group of amazing friends and family, and they had such a hard time narrowing down who their bridesmaids and groomsmen would be. The easiest way to choose is to just pick everyone! Right?!
The average reception head table size that we see ranges from 8-14 people. What about if you want to show off twenty-four of your closest siblings and friends?! Call Hitch!! Our wedding planners wanted to brainstorm all the ways you can be close to your wedding party while utilizing your venue’s space! We ended up choose a U-shaped head table, perfect for all of the wedding party and SUPER conversational for everyone. Check out what we styled!
If you are struggling to find an effective way to seat your best friends at your head table, here are some ideas!
- 1. U-Shaped – This is exactly what Sam + Tyler did above! It’s so conversational and intimate even with a larger group!
- 2. King’s Table – This is very similar to Sam + Tyler’s, but the long tables are connected, taking out that middle gap!
- 3. Elevated/Staged Tables – If your venue offers risers or stage pieces, this could be a wonderful option for you! We love the look of a traditional-style head table, this would just allow you to fit more people, AND add some fun dimension!
We love the boho wedding style because it creates such a relaxing and warm atmosphere for your guests. Schade’s white-canvas tent is perfect for any color pallet, and especially for pops of bold colors like the terra cotta and green accents of this wedding! I mean come on… did you see that wedding party attire?! GORGEOUS!
Another reason we are in love with this style is because the decorations are ethically sourced for the most part, and can be reused again and again! Like the pampas grasses that are pictures! It’s truly like having the best of both worlds with real flowers, but they last forever! They can also be much more budget friendly for this reason! You can even mix in more fresh florals and have an even more bold and unique affect!

Remember, there is no “one style fits all” head table. You can customize any that you love to fit your needs.
A thank you to all of the AMAZING people that were part of this AMAZING day!
