Brytten & Tanner knew they wanted a wedding near their hometowns. After traveling and living in different states the last decade, it was important to find a location that was near their families in South Dakota, but also have a unique and show-stopping venue that would wow their guests, coming from all over the U.S. and out of the country! Since many of their guests were traveling, they wanted a venue that would accommodate both ceremony and reception, eliminating the need to have guests travel. When they found the Goss Opera House located downtown in Watertown, South Dakota, they fell in love and knew this was their wedding venue!
This venue is truly all inclusive, including their suites – Bride’s retreat and Groom’s Loft for getting ready in! They are spacious, have large windows that bring in natural light and are furnished with stunning décor and elaborate furniture that creates an exquisite backdrop to any photo.
Brytten & Tanner live out of state, so another priority for their wedding was having a local wedding planner who knew the venue and area to ease in the planning process – Hitch Studio was so delighted to work with them! The couple made trips to town during the planning, but we were thankful for virtual meetings with this wedding.
The bride had a gorgeous and clear vision for her wedding style and décor – a classic and glamorous look that was sure to be elegant yet elaborate and have their guests in awe! From the beginning, the bride knew she wanted to have real flowers and between her, some family, close friends, our hand-picked vases, and a bulk order of gorgeous flowers Sam’s Club, they created the most lavish floral arrangements!

Guests began the evening with a pre-ceremony cocktail of their choice!
The room was dim, highlighting the aisle with fresh florals and candlelight.
Guests were seated in gold Chiavari chairs before the processional began.
A gold circular arch was the backdrop, with lush flowers and greenery!
The wedding ceremony was officiated by a close friend, and they included a photo of their fur babies to ensure they were a part of their special day. Following the ceremony, guests were ushered upstairs for cocktail hour!

While everyone was celebrating at cocktail hour with drinks and appetizers, the amazing venue staff was working to reset the room before Hitch Studio added the finishing touches on the reception decor. The result was timeless, elegant, and gorgeous!

When guests were invited downstairs again, they were greeted and directed to the seating chart to find their tabl.
Each table was truly one-of-a-kind labeled as different musicians, with a menu & schedule of events placed at each setting.
Tables were dressed in white floor length linens, white chargers, and white napkins, accentuating the timeless and classic style!
The table décor was unique and exquisite with elaborate fresh floral arrangements, accents of gold and silver with plenty of candlelight.
