A Fresh Take on Pink Toile: Creative, Elevated, and Custom Wedding Design

When most people hear “pink toile wedding,” they picture something traditional, maybe even a little predictable. Patterned and formal and a little Bridgerton-like maybe? But what if it didn’t feel that way at all? That’s what we wanted to create in our most recent styled shoot from Hitch Studio! We wanted to give a fresh take on pink toile with cool pinks, a coastal vibe, and a fresh take on some amazing design elements! That’s what Hitch Studio specializes in — creative and elevated wedding design. Are you ready to see what we put together?!

p.s. We think you say “toile” like “twall”.

Here are our favorite wedding designs from that styled shoot:

Pink Toile Linens

Toile is one of those patterns that has stood the test of time. It’s romantic, detailed, and instantly recognizable.

But in wedding design, the goal isn’t just to choose something beautiful—it’s to decide how it’s used.

For this pink toile wedding design, we treated the pattern as a foundation rather than the entire focus. By giving it space, pairing it with more modern elements, and being intentional about where it showed up, the overall look felt elevated instead of overwhelming.

It’s a subtle shift—but it’s what takes a design from expected to original. We COULD have chosen white linens…but why choose white when you could have full-length rectangle pink toile linens from Hitch Studio Rentals.

Paired with the pink toile linens was cool pink napkins, rented from Ideal Tent & Events, and dishes, glasses, chargers, menu cards (from Hitch Studio) and cute boxes favors. We chose macarons from Gold Line Confections. She did the cake as well!

Wedding head table layout

One of the most overlooked elements in wedding design isn’t color, linens, or florals—it’s layout.

Before a guest ever notices the details on a table, they experience the flow of the space.

For this design, we stepped away from a standard setup and created a head table layout that felt more dynamic and visually interesting. The goal was to make the room feel intentional from every angle—not just styled, but designed. Having a cross-shaped table layout created more movement, highlighted the key designs (those florals in the middle!), and made the entire space feel more custom.

Plus, we chose Silver Creek Events in Madison, South Dakota for our venue and their spacious design and black chairs allowed us to make this table layout happen and welcomed in some black modern elements!

Creating a floral meadow from the middle of the head table

We got so lucky when we worked with The Floral Shop in Madison, South Dakota! She absolutely nailed the vision for this styled shoot! We wanted to create three purposeful meadow spaces with flowers. One in the middle of the head table (as if it were growing out of the middle), one near the seating chart and welcome area to really sent the tone for the entire “wedding” as guests arrived, and one down the ceremony aisle.

Even down the cocktail table flowers, we were so in awe!

Using a dance floor for a ceremony aisle

As a rental and design studio, it’s easy to focus on what’s new—but what matters more is how those pieces are used. We decided to change it up a bit and use two 3-foot pieces of dance floor side by side to create a 6-foot statement-piece aisle! Here we used all white pieces, but you could easily make a checkerboard dance floor aisle at your indoor or outdoor ceremony!

Speaking of the ceremony, we also used our brand new gold archway for an arbor behind the couple. Pair that with our new black lamps and more florals down the aisle!

Custom photo area backdrop

Another custom wedding area we focused on was the custom photo area. We went all-out on this photo op space with our brand new wood backdrop (and we covered it in a custom vinyl pink toile pattern just for this shoot), our pink settee, our pedestals, flowers, and lit marquee letters from Stellar Marquee and Midwest Bash Babes.

Elevated Pink Toile Seating Chart and Wedding Invitations

We talked about creating an elevated wedding with creative designs. We like to think we have an eye for design. We know when to repeat a pattern—and when to break it. When to create a moment—and when to let the space breathe. When to simplify—and when to layer. And this seating chart welcome area is the perfect example of that! We layered the entrance with a mirror, white pedestals, a black metal grid rack, and tall cylinders (all rentals from Hitch Studio Rentals!) Hitch Studio also designs wedding invitations, stationery, and wedding day-of materials like seating charts, menu cards, and more. We used a creative way to display the seating chart table numbers!
