Mark your calendars! Hitch Design Studio is proud to be hosting a book signing event this Saturday, December 13, 1:00-2:30 p.m. at Hitch’s store (315 Main Ave. Suite #1, Brookings, SD) You can meet the author, receive a free bookmark and have your copy of the book, Can You Hear What I See?, signed.
V.J. Smith is a national speaker and author of the bestselling book The Richest Man in Town (Which discusses the values Smith finds as he shares the story of a hero in the most unlikely location…the local Walmart.). In his new book, Can You Hear What I See?, he shares thoughts on things to consider in relationships, work, and play. You can purchase both books and his book Jackrabbit Tales on his website. If you’d like a signed copy of Can You Hear What I See?, feel free to purchase it next Saturday, December 13 at Hitch!
Hitch has a special connection to V.J.’s book. We were honored to design the cover of his new book and be a part of something that can touch so many people’s lives with one simple book. We’ve already started our own lists of goals — an inspiration from the first chapter.
It makes the perfect Christmas gift! Stop into Hitch this Saturday to meet this amazing public speaker and author on a more personal level. It’s been a pleasure to work with V.J. and we’re delighted to carry his new book. See you there!
About the Author: V.J. Smith grew up with three brothers and four sisters in the small farming community of Eureka, SD. He graduated from South Dakota State University and considers himself fortunate to have served as the Executive Director of the SDSU Alumni Association. A professional speaker for two decades, V.J. gives presentations to businesses, organizations and schools throughout the United States. He credits his father for having instilled in him a love of speaking. V.J. recalls, “My dad was a gifted speaker. He was an attorney by trade, but he relished the opportunities to give speeches. And, I admired the way he could communicate with his audiences.” As for his writing, V.J. was inspired by his mother. “My mom had an insatiable appetite for reading books. And, her greatest desire was to have her own book published. She sent countless manuscripts to book publishers over the years, but all she ever got back were rejection letters, So, she stopped trying,” V.J. said. Thus, V.J. feels fortunate to live the dreams of both his mother and father.
