Kelsey and Derek know how to make a wedding very personal. They had an “In Memory” table which showcased photos of both of their late fathers, a “Generations of Love” table with family wedding photos, a Jenga guest book, and a balloon release at the end of their ceremony. Each guest got to sign a balloon with well wishes to the couple — or write a message to be sent to a loved one in heaven and all guests released them together. It’s the little details like this, along with the love pouring out of that ceremony, that made us fall in love with this wedding!
Hitch Studio had the honor of decorating the church in Lake Benton, MN (Southwest Minnesota) and the reception with their dusty purple, black and silver color palette. When the ceremony ended, we scooped up all the flower girl petals and decor and transported it directly to the Swiftel Center in Brookings, SD where the reception was starting. The best part? All of our decor, guest book, card box, framed photos, and large floral arrangements made it to the reception before the guests did. It was seamless. But that’s what Kelsey and Derek hired us for! A seamless and beautiful wedding day.
We decorated their reception with coordinating guest tables, head table, dessert table, guest book table, and cake table. Nearly everything was done the day before the wedding, so Kelsey had a chance to come look and approve everything before its big debut the next day! She chose each centerpiece months before during a centerpiece showcase, but to see it in the room where all your closest friends and family will gather brings it to another level! We even added an arbor to the entrance of the reception to make it extra special!
