October in South Dakota brings vibrant autumn colors and a crispness in the air that sets the perfect backdrop for a memorable wedding. Recently, we had the pleasure of planning a gorgeous wedding that beautifully combined vintage elegance with glamor, making it an unforgettable celebration for the couple and their guests.
An Outdoor Ceremony with a Touch of Fall
The ceremony took place outdoors, at Emerald Pines Barn surrounded by the natural scenery of the outdoors. As the leaves turning shades of gold and crimson, the couple exchanged vows beneath a lovely arbor with breathtaking florals from Flower Mill. The ceremony was performed by the Groom’s Aunt which made the ceremony extra personal and touching! The large wedding party added to the loving atmosphere, standing beside the couple in their elegant attire of black and blues! Each member wore a mix of classic styles that complemented the vintage gold decor and the charming blue toile print, creating a cohesive and beautiful look.
Bows, Patterns, and Vintage Gold
The reception was a gorgeous blend of vintage glamour with elegance. The blue toile print was added throughout the tables to bring color. The gold elements created a stunning accent in centerpieces. Everywhere you looked, there were charming bows incorporated into the decor, adding a soft and romantic touch to the day! From the napkins to the centerpieces, these little details brought a beautiful elegance that matched the couple’s joyful spirit.
The black and white checkered backdrop from Prairie Lane Vintage Rentals provided a striking contrast to the vintage gold and blue patterns. It made for a perfect photo opportunity for guests as well as a stunning backdrop to the couple’s champagne tower! It was a perfect way to toast to love and happiness as the celebration began.
One of the highlights of the reception was the assorted popcorn bar—a fun twist that delighted guests of all ages. With flavors ranging from classic butter to gourmet caramel, vanilla mint and dill pickle. The popcorn station became a favorite hangout spot throughout the evening!
The Sweetheart Table
The sweetheart table was a charming focal point at the reception, elegantly set apart yet surrounded by the wedding party on either side. This special arrangement allowed the couple to bask in the love and support of their friends while also creating an intimate space for just the two of them. The beautifully adorned table, complete with florals and candlelight, provided a perfect setting for their quiet moments together to take a time to savor each other’s company amidst the festivities, stealing glances and sharing whispers while the celebration unfolded around them.
Fashion Illustrations as Favors
One of the most enchanting elements of this wedding was the presence of a talented fashion artist — Gavi Leveaux, who created stunning illustrations of the guests throughout the evening. She captured the beauty and joy of the celebration with her artistic flair, transforming guests into a work of art. As a special wedding favor, attendees received their personalized sketches to take home. This unique touch not only provided a wonderful keepsake but also added an interactive element to the evening, allowing guests to engage while leaving with a lasting memento that was truly personal!
The Bride’s Dazzling Gown
The bride looked absolutely breathtaking in a dress that was like no other—an exquisite blend of modern glamour and timeless elegance. Crafted from flowing fabric that seemed to float around her as she walked, it was as if she were gliding on a cloud. The gown featured stunning detached gloves that added a chic touch to her look, while a veil adorned with delicate pearls cascaded gracefully down her back, completing the ethereal effect. The train was nothing short of spectacular, trailing behind her in luxurious layers that flowed with every step. With each movement, she radiated confidence and beauty, capturing the essence of her unique style and the magic of the day, making her the undeniable star of the celebration.

As the sun set, the celebration continued with dancing, laughter, and heartfelt speeches. The combination of stunning decor, delicious food, and a warm atmosphere made for a truly magical night.
