Choosing the perfect South Dakota venue is a top priority for any bride. If a barn near Brookings suits your country or rustic style, consider these four options all within six miles of city limits! Scroll down for a map to each barn, more details, amenities, and more. Let’s start with a look at each one:
Good Roots Farms in Brookings, SD
Located 1.5 miles North on Medary Avenue in Brookings, Good Roots has lots to offer for any special occasion. With charming features like two large picturesque, manicured, and expansive green spaces, an outdoor wood-fired pizza oven, (they raise their own organic veggies), a bonfire, lighted barn porch, hayrides, and lush flowers, your guests will be dazzled from start to finish. For your convenience, they added handicapped-friendly indoor bathrooms and a commercial kitchen (yes, they are starting to cater!). Did we mention separate audio on both barn levels and rustic accent perks come with your rental? Friendly and accommodating owners, Julie and Bill Ross began hosting events in 2016 and take great pleasure in serving you. This pleasant farm is a venue with far more than just a barn.
Bennett’s Barn in Aurora, SD
A huge, outdoor covered patio, lower level barn space, and a separate back patio lets guests spread out as they please. Beyond the great barn loft space, guests can eat dinner and/or dance outdoors on the patio on a beautiful summer night. Theresa and Mike Bennett’s property has a great fire pit, beautiful ceremony landscaping and on-site camping options as well. If late-night celebrating appeals to you, their 2 a.m. end time is the latest of the options. The upstairs loft has plenty of seating ready for your event and has a usable space and a bar on the lower level. Fill it with tables and chairs, cocktail tables, or leave it open for the fooseball tables and small talk. Their hospitality is endearing and the possibilities are endless.
Let’s hit the highlights.
