Hi everyone! My name is Abbi Sudtelgte, and I am a new retail associate for Hitch Studio!
I am an Elkton, South Dakota native and am currently in my sixth year at South Dakota State University. GO JACKS! I know what you’re thinking, “Six years? That is a long time!” Don’t worry — I am currently working on my Masters in Education with an emphasis in Student Affairs Administration. I completed my undergraduate degree in Biology last December. Okay, I get it. Now you must be thinking, “Biology? Student Affairs? Six years? What is this girl up to?” Well, I have always been a creative person and passionate about fashion, design, and I love planning anything. So when I saw that Hitch Studio was hiring a part-time retail associate I was very interested! I have always loved shopping at Hitch, and Renee and Carrie are some of the sweetest and most passionate people I have encountered. I can really tell they love what they do, and I am so excited to be a part of their team!
Being a part of the Hitch team has already taught me so much that I can utilize in my position on the SDSU campus as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for Biology 109 and in my future professional career. Essentially, people matter and I LOVE people! I find great satisfaction in helping others find what they’re looking for, whether it is a purchase for themselves or a gift for others. Not to mention, Hitch has some super creative and unique events that happen throughout the community! Being able to channel my inner creativity and “others-first” mind-set is an aspect of my position at Hitch that I really enjoy. As I continue my time with Hitch, I know that these experiences will continue to benefit me and help me become better rounded as I enter the workforce.
Outside of my schooling and work life, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, leading my church’s youth group, shopping, working out, and traveling. My dream in life is to find satisfaction in everything I do, and make a difference in other’s lives while doing so!
Make sure to stop into Hitch to say hi, check out all of our beautiful merchandise, and see what Hitch is up to!
“Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it.” – Steve Jobs
