This week we’re featuring a bridal shower that we had the honor of decorating for. Okay– maybe we loved the theme so much we were THRILLED to be a part of it!
One lucky bride had a neighborhood party for her bridal shower. It was in a lovely part of Brookings, South Dakota and the host family rented a tent, tables, chairs, and all movie themed ideas to go with it.

First of all, Hitch designed an amazing invitation for the party. If you haven’t read this list yet, read the top 10 tricks, tips and trends for throwing the perfect party. Next, we made sure we had a back up plan if the weather didn’t cooperate, but it did! Kelly (the hostess with the mostest) had a grill out for the couple, a candy station, homemade goodies at a table and all the appetizers you could dream of. Best of all…a popcorn machine and s’mores station for late night snacks as they watched the movie under the stars. Kelly’s back yard was perfect for two movies — “My Big Fat Greek Wedding” and “Father of the Bride” to show. On the invitation, we encouraged guests to grab lawn chairs and blankets and cozy in after dinner for snacks, celebrating and movies.
When I arrived to start taking some of the decorations down in the tent later that evening, I looked over and saw all the kids bundled up with blankets and pillows on the in-ground trampoline giggling at the movies! How fun would that be. I kinda wanted to join them.
