Black Friday and Small Business Saturday go hand-in-hand. Christmas shopping officially begins — and it can start locally — in Brookings, SD! Hitch Studio is letting you pick your discount both days! And believe us…it’s worth stopping in for.
Our challenge to you: Do all of your Christmas shopping locally this year. Support small businesses who make your downtown Brookings charming and thriving.
So, let’s take a virtual tour of what you’ll find at Hitch for holiday shopping this year! We are located at 315 Main Ave., (right under the “Main Avenue Mall” sign in downtown Brookings, SD). Although our name lends itself to wedding planning, wedding invitations, and engaged couples, that’s just the start. We have one of the cutest card and gift shops in all downtown!
First, we have lots of prints, wooden framed sayings, candles, watercolor paintings, glass trays, and crosses with blessed sayings. A little something for everyone…
Here’s a closer look at one of my favorite wooden wall hangings.
We have lots of Christmas cards to choose from as well! We are a stationery store and all… Oh! And do you see there on the right? Those are holiday mugs filled with local coffee grounds and chocolate covered espresso beans! What a cute bundled gift.
We have an entire section devoted to wedding planning, kids, families, prayer boxes for children, Tooth Fairy kits, bridal binders from The Knot, and even some keepsake boxes for loved ones.
These mugs are perfect gifts. We have 15+ different mugs to choose from! For the pet lover, to the not-so-morning person, to the inspirational quote-lover. (You can also choose to tuck a seasonal flavored bag of coffee inside! We have coconut, salted caramel, and Christmas blend.)
You guessed it…the next photo? The cutest little coffee bags you’ve ever seen, made locally by Kool Beans Coffee. If there’s one thing you’ll love about shopping at Hitch Studio, it’s that we like to curate the cutest, most high-end and well-designed gifts from other local crafters and artists! It includes hand-made jewelry from Mama Peacock, bookmarks from Emma, and now coffee from Kool Beans.
Next, we have THE cutest jewelry selection for anyone’s taste. We have dainty, little necklaces, single stone necklaces and even statement pieces like this one.
Don’t forget the fun wrapping paper for all the gifts you buy. Yep, we even have matching gift tags and stickers to bring the whole holiday look together.
These shelves are full of prints, office supplies, address books, and a luxury line of soaps, bubble bath, glass trays, and hand soaps. All lovely choices for a unique gift for someone.
These books are perfect for the newlyweds who moved into their first house this year, the person who LOVES to bake, and the homemaker. From Rifle Paper recipe boxes to modern cook books, these shelves are stocked with one-of-a-kind gifts!
And of course. The tower of journals. And pens. And sketchbooks. All things inspirational to keep you looking inward. (And a bonus in this photo…a Carrie!) 🙂
Perhaps you have friends like I do…ones that appreciate a little crude humor during the holidays and would probably wear these socks to their next family function. You know…whatever makes you smile.
These are one of our newest arrivals and most unique gifts for the nerd in your life. They are Morse Code necklaces…so only you and the person wearing it know what it means. They came from a boutique in New York, so that pretty much makes them awesome. And they’re in Morse Code.
We also have TONS OF SCARVES. Like a ton. We tried to order a lot of yellow and blue scarves since are Jackrabbits and all… You’ll have to stop in and pick you favorite.
Pet lover? Crazy cat lady? Everyone needs a gift this holiday season.
Last, but certainly not least, we have stationery and cards for all occasions (weddings, babies, just becauses, friends, divorces, thank you’s, sympathies, and much more. That middle shelf you see? That also has 2016 agenda planners!
We have even more than you see here, including wallets, jewelry trays, bracelets, magnets, bags, Kate Spade items, Star Wars illustrated prints, and much more.
Remember our challenge to you: Try to do all your shopping locally this Christmas season. It’s a gift to your loved ones, but an ever bigger gift to the businesses in your downtown Brookings.
See you Friday, November 27 and Saturday, November 28 for discounts and late hours! We’re open 10 a.m. – 6 p.m both days. Happy Thanksgiving!
