Have we mentioned lately how much we love our job? It’s because of couples like Ashley and Taylor that we do what we do and love what we do! Ashley came to us over a year ago with a detailed vision of her big day and together we styled one of our favorite weddings to date.
Drapery, a bistro-lit ceiling, and eucalyptus running down every table are just a few of the gorgeous details Ashley and Taylor envisioned for their reception, and The Meadow Barn in Harrisburg, SD, made the perfect backdrop for the happiest day of their lives. Throughout the Meadow Barn we incorporated the perfect mix of beautiful farmwood tables (hand-made by the Meadow Barn) and round tables with ivory linens to the layout — and the U-shaped head table at the front of the barn completed the set up.
Ashley and Taylor’s head table featured a sheer backdrop to allow natural light to show through and bistro lights which added an extra glow! We also attached eucalyptus garlands across the top of the backdrop and along the front of the table to frame the wedding party. Ivory-crushed table cloths added texture to the table, intertwined with candles and flowers for a very intimate and beautiful look. Two five-foot trumpet vases filled with a gorgeous fresh flower arrangement from Bell Rosa, in Sioux Falls, topped off the head table.
We can’t get enough of their guest tables! Each farm wood table displayed a sequin runner, flameless candles, eucalyptus, and a variety of decorations ranging from gold candlesticks to ivory lanterns. To add some height throughout the room, each round table showcased a beautiful flower arrangement created by the bride’s mother.
We added more decorations throughout the barn to add to Ashley’s vision. Gold candelabras, two-foot trumpet vases, a gold vintage welcome sign (hand-lettering by Hitch Studio), whiskey barrels and a wooden door to hold desserts…it was truly a dream! Adding to the dream was the bride, Ashley. Ashley’s personality shined brighter than the bistro lit ceiling and she was so sweet and great to work with. Ashley took time out of her busy morning of wedding preparation to walk around to our crew and personally thank everyone for the work they were putting in. The love and appreciation didn’t stop there. We received so much help and effort from Ashley and Taylor’s parents, friends and family, The Meadow Barn staff, Chef Dominique catering, Erica Lynn Photography, Pete with DJ Jer, Bella Rosa and other wedding vendors. It was the perfect reminder that “You are only as good as the people you surround yourself with.” For this wedding we were surrounded with amazing people with goal to create the best day for a well deserving bride + groom.
