Living and working in Brookings, South Dakota, has given Hitch Studio the chance to work on a variety of South Dakota State University events. Carrie and Renee both graduated from SDSU, so our roots run deep. But the event on September 29 rises to the top for us. That was the day of Dr. Barry Dunn’s official inauguration as SDSU’s new president. Hitch Studio was honored when they asked us to decorate for the reception!
With the help of President Dunn’s wife, Jane, we put together a room full of fall colors, tall floral arrangements, ivory lanterns, and of course…some blue and gold. But to give it a not-so-college-athlete feel, we shifted the colors to navy blue and champagne-gold. It was a nice autumn version of the traditional blue and gold of SDSU.
Over 700 people attended the reception in the Club Room of SDSU’s new football stadium. It was a room full of congratulations, celebration and proud State grads. Take a look at how it all came together.
