Are wedding favors important? Do people even have these anymore? The answer is, YES! Although we don’t think wedding favors are an absolute necessity, they sure are a great way to show your guests some extra love and to give them something to keep from your big day. If you or your fiancé are on the fence about having wedding favors at your reception, just remember, it doesn’t need to be expensive or time consuming for it to be meaningful and well-liked.

What if your guests don’t like the favor or forget to take it home? We also wanted to mention a few tips on purchasing and displaying your favors that can help save you money and stress!
Tip #1
Our first tip is to set the favors at each place setting or at each table instead of on their own display table in the corner of the room. This ensures your guests will see them and they will be more likely to take them home when they leave.
Tip #2
If you are worried about having a bunch of leftover favors – we got you.
Our second tip is to buy enough favors for only about 3/4 of the number of guests attending. Not everyone will want a favor, or remember to take one, so buying only enough for around 200 out of your 250 guests would be perfect.
Tip #3
Our third piece of advice for favors, if you are wanting the leftovers to be manageable, is to gift something edible to your guests. That way, if any are left over, you can eat them yourselves or give them away at your gift opening the next day!
We love when our couples find favors unique to them. We have seen jars of jam made from the couple’s own fruit harvests, macrame key chains hand weaved by a bride’s grandmother, luggage tags to match the couple’s love for traveling, and even our most recent unique favors: Leslie + Riley Blume decided to gift their guests handmade wooden coasters!
How cute are these!? We love how personal these two got with their pyrography skills. Riley owns Blume Firewood LLC in Watertown, SD, so this gift not only showcased the groom’s talent and business, but it also brought one unique aspect from the couple’s life outside into the wedding.
Any favors can be customized by adding a little tag, sticker, or sign next to it that says your names, wedding date, or a cute love quote. Hitch Studio can help with this! We have a graphic designer on staff who loves matching your wedding stationery to your adorable little tags you want to tie to your little honey jars or your inserts for your luggage tags!
We are all about making your wedding unique and personal to you, and favors are one perfect way to do just that!
